| Responsible for subsystem prototype development, including hardware, software design and embedded firmware when applicable for a complex electromechanical implantable heart assist device. Specific qualifications: BS required MS preferred in Electrical or Electronics Engineering. 10 to 12 years experience in extensive design and developments of electronic circuits and hardware. |

| Software Engineer (HW 130 SOFENG; Framingham) |
| Responsible for the software design and validation of the electronic devices in support of the current HVAD and future generations of heart assist blood pumps. Specific qualifications: BS in Software, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering. 5 years minimum experience in software design, some medical device industry experience preferred. C C++ or equivalent software design. |

| Sr. EE Hardware Engineer (HW 115 HRDENG; Framingham) |
| Responsible for the design of external electronic products associated with present and future VAD blood pump systems. Primary responsibilities for the design of hardware electronics for medical devices. Responsible for preparation of design specifications and component procurement specifications. Specific qualifications: BS degree in Electrical Engineering; 8 years minimum in product design development in medical devices; experience with 8 and 16 bit embedded micro-controllers, hardware architecture and embedded software design, mixed signal circuit design & simulation (using Altium, or CAD, or other) and Electrical schematic generation, PCB layout (using Altium, PADS, or other). |

| Sr. EE Technician (HW 105 EETECH; Framingham) |
| Responsible for supporting the electronics engineering staff at HeartWare's Framingham facility. This includes lab administration, test equipment calibration, inventory management, and product analysis. Specific qualifications: AS degree in electronics technology or equivalent; 10 years experience as an electronics technician; experience in new product development environment, with medical device and battery technology preferable. Experience in electro-mechanical assembly (e.g. cables/connectors, epoxies, adhesives) preferable. |
